13. Mason Rudolph – QB – Oklahoma State Cowboys

Mason Rudolph is a player on the rise in college football and has shown no signs of slowing down. He enjoyed a stellar high-school career for Northwestern High School in South Carolina, during which he threw for 10,986 yards and 132 touchdowns. Due to his pre-collegiate success, Rudolph was ranked as the ninth-best pro style QB in the class of 2014.

His freshman year at Oklahoma State began with him as the third-string QB. However, after injuries to starter J.W. Walsh and backup Daxx Garman, Rudolph received his chance to start for the Cowboys, finishing the season with 853 passing yards and six TDs in three games.

In 2015, Mason was named as the full-time starter and showed solid improvement throughout. He finished the season with 3,770 passing yards and 21 TDs, earning him the Offensive MVP award for a season in which he also broke a handful of school records

So far in 2016, Rudolph has picked up where he left off, leading the Cowboys to a 61-7 demolition of Southeastern Louisiana. He recorded 188 passing yards and two TDs in the victory. Despite the pedestrian numbers, Rudolph’s passing yards will increase as Oklahoma State faces teams that are more competitive.

Rudolph stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 235 pounds with ever-improving arm strength. He is also more elusive and athletic than he may appear. As his draft stock slowly improves, so too will his chances at becoming a good-to-great starter in the NFL. If he achieves success as a pro, especially on a playoff team, there’s a chance that he can become the first Cowboy to grace a Madden cover since the legendary Barry Sanders.
