Giants troll Josh Norman for not covering Antonio Brown
By Greg Patuto
Giants call out Redskins CB Josh Norman for not matching up with Antonio Brown during their Week 1 loss.
The Giants and Josh Norman have had some drama ever since the Panthers defeated the Giants 38-35 in week 15 of last season. Norman and Giants’ receiver Odell Beckham Jr. went at each other all game and this began an offseason feud. But after the Redskins’ blowout loss to the Steelers, it wasn’t Beckham who had something to say.
Victor Cruz made his opinion known on Wednesday about Norman.
According to the New York Post, Cruz said, “Going in I thought he was going to follow A.B. all over the place but he didn’t so it is what it is. He made his choice.Especially if he calls himself — I don’t call him this, he calls himself — the best corner in the league, then you have to cover the best receivers on the other team.”
Brown torched the Redskins for 186 yards and two touchdowns on Monday night. But Norman made it very clear that the defensive assignments were not his call.
“Like I said, our faith is trusting coach (Joe) Barry, coach Perry Fewell. That’s why the guys brought me here,” Norman explained. “Faith in me to do my job and not question one thing in the game plan.”
The bottom line is, a lot of people were shocked that the Redskins gave Norman all that money to not cover the best receiver. And despite what Victor Cruz says, Norman is the best corner in the league and if he covers the best receiver, he will show it.

The Giants and Redskins will matchup on week three and everyone thinks that Norman will shadow Beckham the entire game, especially after being criticized. If he does, then we can all sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
