The No. 13 Iowa Hawkeyes host the FCS juggernaut North Dakota State Bison on Saturday. Here is the start time, the live stream, and three things to know.
The No. 13 Iowa Hawkeyes will get the distinct pleasure of hosting the best FCS program in the country in the North Dakota State Bison on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium. Kickoff between the Hawkeyes and Bison in Iowa City will be at 12:00 PM ET. ESPN 2 will have the telecast and the available live stream can be found at WatchESPN.
Iowa dominated its in-state rival Iowa State on Saturday, 42-3, to move to 2-0 on the year. The Hawkeyes gave a bad Cyclones team already its second loss of the season. Iowa’s 2016 season schedule is favorable and could help the Hawkeyes get back to the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis.
North Dakota State had a tough Week 2 scare against another solid FCS team in the Eastern Washington Eagles on Saturday. Eastern Washington knocked off the Pac-12’s Washington State Cougars in Pullman Week 1. The Bison move to 2-0 on the year in hopes of a third straight National Championship. Here are three things to know before heading into this Week 3 game.
1.) North Dakota State is 8-3 all-time against FBS schools. The Bison haven’t lost to a Power 5 school since 2009. Since falling to the 2009 Iowa State Cyclones, 34-17, North Dakota State has defeated Kansas, Minnesota, Colorado State, Kansas State, and Iowa State. The Hawkeyes would be absolutely foolish to overlook Chris Klieman’s team.
2.) Iowa has scored at least 42 points in its first two games and quarterback C.J. Beathard will likely play on Sundays. On the season, Beathard has thrown for 427 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. He is completing 66.7% of his passes this season and has a quarterback rating of 168.9. Beathard will be a huge reason if the Hawkeyes can win the Big Ten in 2016.
3.) Should Iowa stop North Dakota State’s FCS winning streak at five games Saturday afternoon, there is a great chance that the Hawkeyes begin the year at 7-0 (4-0). Iowa will be favored against Rutgers, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Purdue. A win over the Wisconsin Badgers in Iowa City on October 22nd might see the Hawkeyes go 9-0 (6-0) before the Michigan Wolverines come to town on November 12th.

OddsShark.com does not have an available point spread. While this may have to do with North Dakota State being an FCS school, the Bison are known well enough nationally in college football circles to be given a point spread in this game. If it’s a pick ’em for whatever reason, this might be a stay away game for bettors on Saturday.
