Sam Bradford likely to start for Vikings in Week 2 vs. Packers

Sam Bradford took all the first-team snaps in Minnesota Vikings practice Wednesday. Does the mean Bradford will get the start Sunday vs. Green Bay?
Shaun Hill started the season opener for the Minnesota Vikings despite the presence of Sam Bradford. However, there could be a change to the depth chart as the team prepares for NFC North rival Green Bay in Week 2.
According to Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press, Bradford took all the first-team snaps at practice on Wednesday.
Well, Minnesota didn’t trade a 2017 first-round pick and a 2018 fourth-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles to let Bradford sit on the Vikings bench. Hill did a fine job game managing for the Vikings in a victory over the Titans. However, Bradford gives the Vikings the best chance to beat the Packers on Sunday Night Football.
Bradford was brought in to alleviate the blow of a season-ending injury to starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. With Bradford under center, the Vikings can lean on the defense and the running game for a chance to repeat as NFC North champions. Hill isn’t good enough to quarterback the Vikings to winning record in 2016 no matter how good the defense is.
Though head coach Mike Zimmer will wisely reveal nothing about who his starting quarterback will be on Sunday, all indications point to Bradford making his first start the team.
Sunday night will be the first regular season home game at brand-new US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

To have any shot at winning the division over Green Bay, Minnesota has to beat the Packers at home on Sunday. Bradford gives the Vikings the best chance of doing that.
