30. New York Mets

There are no fans in sports like the ones in New York. They are quick to turn on you but just as quick to love you. The bottom line is New Yorkers want to win. And they’ve waited a long time for the Mets. The Mets made it to the World Series in 2015 for the first time since 2000. Despite losing in five games to the Royals, they had a great showing by the fans every night.

Since Citi Field opened in 2009, the Mets have averaged 30,839 fans per home game. Let’s remember, the Mets had their fair share of down years in that time, but even then fans were still taking the trip to Citi Field to cheer on their beloved orange and blue.

There’s no true heart break like being a Mets fan. Yadier Molina’s homer in game seven of the NLCS in 2006, Familia’s three blown saves in last year’s World Series and who can forget the epic meltdown in 2007. The Mets held a seven game lead in the NL East with 17 games to go and they ended up losing the division and missing the playoffs. To this day, it’s the worst collapse in history.

Despite all the bad times, there’s nothing more fans love than Mets baseball, and that will never change. The Mets are currently in the middle of a wild card race to find their way into the playoffs and Citi Field is as loud as ever.
