The Dallas Cowboys will visit the Washington Redskins at FedExField this Sunday afternoon in a 2016 NFL Week 2 matchup.

Not many times can you say that a Week 2 matchup is a big one, however when the Cowboys and Redskins meet up this Sunday, there will be a lot on the line. With both teams losing in Week 1, the last thing they want to do is fall to 0-2 on the season – especially against a divisional rival.

According to a FOX Sports report, while both teams got off on the wrong foot last week, the Cowboys had a shot at winning the game in the final seconds. The Redskins on the other hand were never really in the game.

After taking a 6-0 lead, Washington’s offense went south as Big Ben and the Steelers took the game over.

DeAngelo Williams, who got the start for the suspended Le’Veon Bell, was incredible. Williams gained 143 yards and scored two touchdowns. With Dak Prescott coming off of a sub-par performance vs. the Giants last week, look for Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys offensive line to take over against the Redskins on the ground.

Odds

Line: Washington (-2.5)
Over/Under: 45

Washington gave up 147 yards rushing in Week 1, while only gaining 55 themselves. The best way to get over a bad game is to hit the field as soon as possible and get a win. However for Gruden and the Redskins, getting that may not be easy vs. Dallas this week.

After an impressive preseason, rookie QB Dak Prescott did not look great in his regular season debut. That may change this week if Washington can’t tighten up the defense. Prescott is a duel threat, something that could be a huge worry for the Redskins this week.

Las Vegas odds makers have Washington listed as a 3 point favorite. This line seems a bit off to me. Washington is playing on a short week, and Kirk Cousins didn’t look right Monday night. The Redskins have a load of talent on their team, but something tells me the Cowboys are going to pull off the upset.

Dallas has won there last two games at FedEx Field. The streak extends to three this week.

Pick: Cowboys 23, Redskins 17
