Forwards

Forwards to watch

I mentioned it last week, and I will recommend it again. Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho (£7) scored last week in the Manchester derby, and it seems whoever scores in that derby is set for greatness.

City are home to Bournemouth this week, and with Aguero still out with a suspension, Pep Guardiola might have to give the young Nigerian more match time to fully see what he can bring to his team.

In his three matches, he has been able to grab at least a point. He even managed to get four points when he played Stoke and saw eight minutes of action. Not to forget he scored against Borussia Monchengladbach in Champions League play on Wednesday.

If he can show his talent against a club like Manchester United, than Iheanacho should be able to do the same against Bournemouth.

Forwards to avoid

Jermain Defoe (£7.2) has put up a decent amount of points for Sunderland and is their top FPL performer. However, his club hasn’t been winning. At all. Defoe’s club is set to take on Tottenham , who dismantled Stoke last weekend, and could do the same to David Moyes’ team this weekend.

Defoe has been selected by 11.6 percent of owners, but it would be wise to sit him or wait until next week to start him. His value has risen and he showed he can score against clubs like Manchester City, if his team can support him properly. Wait until Sunderland face clubs like Crystal Palace and West Brom in the coming weeks.
