Greg Jennings loves both Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre but which quarterback would he rather have?

The Green Bay Packers have been blessed at the quarterback position. Three of the greatest quarterbacks (Bart Starr, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers) ever have worn the green and yellow. It’s hard to pick who’s better between Favre and Rodgers. However, wide receiver Greg Jennings is someone who has the necessary qualifications to answer that. While Jennings said that it was close between the two, he said he’d take Rodgers.

Both quarterbacks are legendary. Jennings has the luxury of playing for both of them. Rodgers and Favre have each led the Packers to a Super Bowl title. While Favre’s franchise records are going to be very tough to top, it’s not hard to imagine Rodgers besting them.

Rodgers is already more than halfway to besting Favre’s 61,655 passing yards with the Packers. He has 32,598 passing yards and has a higher yards per game average (256.7 to 241.8) than Favre. Favre has 442 passing touchdowns with the Packers while Rodgers has 259. Both of those records will be tough for Rodgers to beat, but it’s certainly not impossible.

Favre and Rodgers used to have a rocky relationship. The two rarely got along during their playing days. Favre didn’t want to help Rodgers while Rodgers’ ultimate goal was to unseat Favre as the starter. That’s a complicated and awkward dynamic. However, since retiring, Favre has become a friend of Rodgers. Whichever one of the two quarterbacks you’d prefer, both sides of the debate must admit that they would be content with either of the two.

Jennings has 6,537 career receiving yards with the Packers. He owes that to two great quarterbacks.
