ESPN’s College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon schedule released

September is at its halfway point but the college basketball season is right around the corner and ESPN has released its schedule for their ninth annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

There’s no better way to kick off the 2016-2017 college basketball season than with almost 24 hours of continuous coverage during ESPN’s ninth annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. The action begins on Monday, November 14 and continues into Tuesday with 13 men’s and women’s games on the docket between the two days. All games will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The event features teams representing sixteen conferences ranging from the Big 12, Pac-12, SEC, and the ACC, all the way to the Mountain West and West Coast Conference. Of the 11 men’s games, fifteen of the men’s teams made it into the postseason (both NCAA and NIT) in 2016, while the two women’s games feature teams that made it to the Sweet 16 and beyond in the 2016 NCAA tournament, including national champions UConn.

Highlights include the sixth annual State Farm Champions Classic played at Madison Square Garden in New York, with #3 Kentucky set to take on #13 Michigan State in the early game, followed by #1 Duke vs #4 Kansas in the late game. Some of the other noteworthy games are San Diego State at Gonzaga, Princeton at BYU, and #10 Oregon at Baylor.

ESPN will also broadcast College Football Playoff: Top 25 live from Madison Square Garden between the two banner games.

On the women’s side, the top women’s game features UConn takes on the Sweet 16 Florida State team while the second women’s game sees No. 6 Texas facing off against fellow 2016 Elite Eight team No. 10 Stanford. UConn is set to defend their 2016 national champion title and go for a fifth straight win during the 2016-2017 campaign.
