Week 2 of the NFL season is giving us some great action. Here are Matt Verderame’s five games to watch this weekend.

It’s Week 2, which means we get to figure out the teams that played possum last weekend. Every year, we see some incredible performances in both directions and people go crazy, screaming their heads off like a bunch of damn fools.

In reality, we don’t know anything yet. Don’t forget this example: Over the last two years, the Tennessee Titans went 5-27. They beat the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in thumping fashion each of the past Week 1s, on the road. Don’t believe the hype.

Let’s get to the five games this weekend that you can’t afford to miss.

5. Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos

This is intriguing for a few reasons. Andrew Luck has always been able to handle the Broncos, beating them in all three career matchups. Last year, the Colts were absolutely brutal and still beat Denver, and rather handily at that.

However, this is going to be a tougher task. This game will be in the Mile High City and Indianapolis is all kinds of banged up with cornerback Vontae Davis on the shelf, among others. While Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian isn’t going to be lighting up any defense, he should have Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas wide open down the field.

Already 0-1, Luck and the Colts have to get this game. If he can find a way to torch Denver’s defense again, he just might do it.
