The Los Angeles Rams are still figuring out how the confusing new NFL injury report works.

The Los Angeles Rams would like to be out of the news as much as possible following their embarrassing blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 but made another comedic error on Friday involving Todd Gurley.

After getting a day off to rest on Wednesday, star running back Todd Gurley showed up as questionable on Los Angeles’ injury report. Pro Football Talk reports that Gurley found his way on the injury report, entirely by mistake, and that he will play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Of course, the Rams can’t entirely be blamed for the confusion, as the NFL made the process of compiling injury reports over the offseason for no apparent reason. With no probable designation, players who are injured but are expected to play are either not listed or go under questionable, causing heart attacks for fantasy football players across the country.

Fortunately for the Rams, Gurley is dealing with an injury and will play against the division rival Seahawks. With first overall pick Jared Goff struggling to adjust to the NFL, Gurley looks to be the lone bright spot on the roster after running for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie.

Gurley didn’t see that level of success last Monday night, as he ran for just 47 yards on 17 carries against San Francisco. Los Angeles was completely dominated in the 28-0 loss, and Gurley may wish he was not playing against the Seahawks defense based on how the team looks so far.

Bill Belichick trolled the NFL for years by listing Tom Brady as probable, which likely caused Roger Goodell to approve the rule change out of spite. Los Angeles will likely not be the last team to be confused by the new designations.
