The leaked release date for the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild amiibo by Nintendo of Europe may have been accidental, but this leads to much speculation.
For awhile now, we have been anxiously anticipating new The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild news. It’s been a long and grueling wait for this game, but when new gameplay footage was officially revealed for the game at this years E3 show, Nintendo once again reminded us why they make certain decisions to delay games since they always deliver a great gaming experience.
Earlier this year, it was rumored that Nintendo would be revealing their new home console Nintendo NX, which is currently in development, sometime in September. Now, it seems like the reveal has been pushed to October. With this reveal, it’s also expected a release date for Breath of the Wild will come along with the NX, which is scheduled to launch sometime in March.
If you’re a fan of the Zelda series and all things Nintendo, then we may have some good news for you. On Friday, it was revealed by Nintendo Wire that Nintendo of Europe revealed the release dates for the Breath of the Wild amiibo. The three amiibo shown is Link with his bow and arrow, Link on a horse, and a Guardian we see Link battle in the game. Although this is most likely accidental, this points towards the game being a launch title for the NX.
First of all, if this release date for the amiibo is factual, why would they release the amiibo before the game is even released? For most games, amiibo either launch with the game or after the games release date.

Secondly, with the NX scheduled to launch in March, Nintendo needs to do everything they can to forget about the Wii U’s failures and sell the NX. At this point, with all the hype Breath of the Wild has, there’s no better game that will sell the console as efficiently as they want.
Once again, this isn’t confirmed, but there’s a great possibility that both Breath of the Wild and the amiibo will launch on March 4, 2017, alongside the NX.
