Here’s how to watch the crucial ACC matchup between the Louisville Cardinals and Florida State Seminoles on Saturday online.
Saturday’s college football slate will feature a number of critical games across the nation, none of which are more important than the No. 2 Florida State Seminoles taking on the No. 10 Louisville Cardinals at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
The contest will be the first matchup between a pair of top 10 teams of the 2016 season. Florida State was projected to be a playoff contender and has done nothing to change that notion so far, while the Cardinals have moved up the rankings following two easy victories.
Louisville has cruised to a pair of blowout victories over Charlotte and Syracuse top open the season with some impressive numbers on offense. All eyes will be on sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has already accounted for over 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the very early Heisman race.
The Seminoles came from behind to beat Ole Miss in their season opener before taking down Charleston Southern last weekend. Freshman quarterback Deondre Francois has done well filling in for the injured Sean Maguire with 681 passing yards and five touchdowns to begin his career.
Florida State will be without defensive back Derwin James, who figured to act as a spy on Jackson. That’s going to put a lot of pressure on DeMarcus Walker and the rest of the defensive line to contain Jackson in the pocket, while a relatively unproven secondary will also need a strong game.
Louisville will need to contain running back Dalvin Cook, who hasn’t looked quite himself so far but is still one of the most explosive players in the nation. The Cardinals have been good defensively under coordinator Todd Grantham, and linebacker Devonte Fields can cause havoc for any opposing offense.
