Raheem Sterling scored Manchester City’s third goal against Bournemouth. Kelechi Iheanacho provided the assist.
Manchester City have dominated Bournemouth so far. Kevin de Bruyne gave the Citizens the lead after 15 minutes, before Kelechi Iheanacho made it two with a tap in 10 minutes later.
City picked up where they left off in the second half. Raheem Sterling scored the third goal, with Iheanacho providing the assist. De Bruyne was instrumental in the buildup again, too, playing Iheanacho through to tee up Sterling.
Sterling’s finish was, predictably, highly unconvincing. Despite being a full two yards out from an empty net, he managed only just about to get the ball over the line.

The goal was no less than City deserve for a completely dominant display. If they win this game, which they almost certainly will, they’ll maintain their spot at the top of the table with 15 points from five games.
The mathematicians among you may have noticed that means they have won every single game so far. While their schedule has not been the most difficult, a 2-1 win in the Manchester derby last week, coupled with some impressive displays in the Champions League, suggest this City side is the team to beat in the Premier League.
As their rivals have begun to drop points, Pep Guardiola’s side continue to build momentum. There will be tougher games than a home match with Bournemouth, but they have been playing with real speed and incision. When you consider Sergio Aguero and David Silva are both missing — due to suspension and injury, respectively — it seems City may still have another gear to find going forward.

Bournemouth will have to shake off this loss quickly, barring an all-time great comeback in the last 30 minutes. The biggest concern for Eddie Howe might be the performance of Jack Wilshere, who has seriously struggled in his first start for the club.
