Josh McCown injury update: Browns QB hurts shoulder in Week 2
By Josh Hill
The Cleveland Browns were rolling against the Baltimore Ravens, so naturally their quarterback Josh McCown got hurt.
It was a it f a rough start to the season for the Cleveland Browns. They were knocked off by the Philadelphia Eagles and lost starter Robert Griffin III in the process. With RGIII’s career with the Browns likely over, the duties fell on Josh McCown, who is no stranger to coming in and replacing injured quarterbacks and doing well.
He made a career revival by replacing Jay Cutler in Chicago a few years ago, and he’s back at it again in Cleveland. After being counted down and out before the game even started, McCown came out with the Browns and dropped 20
points on the Baltimore Ravens before their opponent could get a point on the board.
But in true Cleveland fashion, McCown quickly got hurt and had to leave the game. His status after seemingly injuring his shoulder was ‘questionable’.
If this isn’t the most Cleveland thing ever, I don’t know what is. McCown was playing unconscious football, lighting up a Ravens defense that looked to be sleepwalking. But getting hurt — or having something go wrong when things are going good seems to be a Cleveland tradition.
