Saints at Giants: Week 2 inactives
By Matt Couden
The latest Saints at Giants Week 2 inactive players listed ahead of their 2016 NFL game on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The New York Giants will host the New Orleans Saints in a Week 2 matchup from the 2016 NFL schedule. While the Giants managed to escape Dallas with a one-point win, New Orleans failed to capture a win at home and fell by a point to Oakland. Now they’ll battle it out in the second game of their 2016 campaigns.
New York has come into the season looking healthy so far. Eli Manning played solid in his 2016 debut and Odell Beckham had a decent day. The biggest news in terms of health has been the return of star receiver Victor Cruz. He caught his first regular season pass after 700 days and would later catch his first touchdown after that many days. Cruz is certainly a welcome sight on the field for Manning as well as Giants’ fans.
Ahead of this latest matchup, New York had offensive tackle Jake Rodgers listed as out, and linebacker J.T. Thomas is on injury reserve due to torn ligaments in his knee. So far, it has been a relatively good start for the Giants’ season in terms of their roster.
The Saints had four players listed on the NFL injury report. Cornerback Delvin Breaux was listed as out due to surgery on his broken left fibula. He’s expected to miss six weeks. Three other guys are questionable. Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (quadriceps) and tight end Josh Hill (ankle) didn’t practice this past Wednesday. Offensive tackle Terron Amsted is also questionable.
