Another injury to a key player in Week 2. This time, it’s Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls.
Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls left Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams after injuring his leg. Rawls had a breakout season in 2015, rushing for 830 yards in just 13 games. Averaging an impressive 5.6 yards, he was a reliable force on the ground after Marshawn Lynch was sidelined with injury.
Marshawn Lynch announced his retirement at the end of the 2015 season with a poignant tweet, and has since been a staple on both commercials and reality TV shows.

In just his second season, the team had high hopes for Rawls. After Week 1, head coach Pete Carroll had indicated the versatile back would have an increased role.
Christian Michael is the Seahawks other running back. In his fifth NFL season, Michael rushed for 66 yards last week against Miami. At the end of the third quarter against the Rams, Michael had nine carries for 63 yards.
Before his injury, Rawls had tallied 7 carries for -7 yards and three catches for 15 yards. On the Seahawks first drive of the game, Aaron Donald tackled Rawls for a nine-yard loss just after William Hayes tackled him for a two-yard loss.
The Seattle Seahawks are 1-0 after beating the Miami Dolphins in their season opener. Rawls had 12 carries for 32 yards during that game, along with three receptions for 26 yards.
Some Seattle fans have called for the return of Marshawn Lynch, complaining about a current running backs corps which had a combined 14 yards rushing in the first half of the Rams game.
