Launch trailer for Gears of War 4 (Video)

The launch trailer for the highly anticipated game, Gears of War 4, was officially released on Monday and the series has never looked quite this good.

Like every entry in the Gears of War series, Gears of War 4 marks a new saga for the franchise. Being one of the most critically acclaimed third-person shooters in the history of video games, it has been a long wait for this one, but it’s almost here and we can’t wait to try it out.

Players got a chance to experience the game for the first time when a beta was released earlier this year and after testing out the online multiplayer mode, it’s evident that the developers still know how to create an amazing experience with these games. Not only is the online multiplayer as good as it has ever been, but the visuals are absolutely incredible. We also have a horde and campaign mode to look forward to, which are always lots of fun.

The new trailer focuses mostly on the story and what we’ll be seeing as we play the campaign.  Although the characters in the new game are mostly new playable characters, there is a familiar voice narrating at the beginning of the trailer

That voice is none other than the protagonist throughout the entire series, Marcus Fenix. It’s currently unknown how big of a role he’ll play in the fourth entry, but it looks like he’ll be joining his son JD Fenix and his friends Kait and Del in their journey to defeat the swarm.

We also get a brief glimpse at a fan favorite, that being Cole Train, which is also pretty cool. We’re still wondering what other characters from the original games are going to be returning and in all honesty, we can’t wait.

Gears of War 4 launches on Xbox One and Microsoft Windows PC’s on October 11.
