18. Arizona Cardinals (via NYG)

Brad Kaaya . 18. player. 32. John Keim and Bruce Arians aren’t fools. They also aren’t gun shy. If they feel there is a need on the team that must be met, they’ll do what must be done in order to meet it. That includes making aggressive trades up the board. Despite another playoff appearance, this is what they do by swinging a deal to jump to the 18th pick courtesy of the Giants.
At what point do the Cardinals start taking the age of Carson Palmer seriously? He’s 36 years old. Sooner or later his body is going to wear down from the constant hits he’s taken behind an average offensive line. So far Arizona hasn’t really made a concerted effort to get somebody in the pipeline that they can build around for the future. That changes here.

Brad Kaaya is exactly the kind of quarterback that Arians would like. He’s tall, strong, understands a pro offense and features an arm that can push the ball down the field. His improvement so far in 2016 is noticeable and should continue to progress. His readiness for the NFL isn’t there yet though, making him the ideal stash pick behind Palmer for the next year or two.
. QB. Miami (Fl.)
