CB. Florida. Jalen Tabor . 8. player. 46. Things are just off kilter for the Indianapolis Colts. Even though they have Andrew Luck, there are a host of problems across the roster that even an elite quarterback can’t fix. The team finished 8-8 a year ago and doesn’t seem to have gotten better after dropping their opener to the Detroit Lions. Odds are it will be a very uneven season again and there’s no telling Luck will survive it.

If there was a glaring weakness exposed on the Colts roster from day one, it was their secondary. Specifically the cornerback position. Vontae Davis is out for a good chunk of the season with an ankle injury and there is nobody on the roster even close to his level. That in itself is good reason for concern. What with so many great passing attacks in the AFC.

If they refuse to go after pass rushers, then they need to find more guys who can cover. Being able to grab Florida standout Jalen Tabor is a definite win. He fits the prototype that 3-4 defenses look for. Tabor has size, length but above all a mix of athleticism and speed that allows him to stick to receivers down the field. It’s difficult to shake him in coverage.
