A battle of two 0-2 team’s will go head to head Sunday in what will be the determiner for who gets their first win of the season and who drops to 0-2.
Miami looks as if they’re the better of the two team’s but it’s not by much. When we discuss what 0-2 teams can climb out of their hole that they’ve dug themselves into, neither the Cleveland Browns or Miami Dolphins will be mentioned in that conversation.
Cleveland will start their fifth straight quarterback dating back to the end of last season. The offensive line is a makeshift one, and will be exposed facing a stout defensive line in the Dolphins front four. Cleveland’s head coach Hue Jackson must be shaking his head after his Browns blew a 20-0 lead against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Only you Cleveland, only you. While the Ravens haven’t necessarily looked all that impressive, the Browns should have been able to close the door.
But young, inexperienced team’s like the Browns do things like what Cleveland did on Sunday. It’s a learning process. On the bright side for Cleveland, rookie wideout Corey Coleman looks like the real deal. He’s caught seven balls for 173 yards and two touchdowns, including an opening score on the Browns first drive against the Ravens last week.
Unfortunately, he’ll have his third quarterback throwing to him in as many weeks come Sunday as Cody Kessler will get the nod. The former USC standout was a third-round draft pick this year as the Browns elected to select Coleman with their first round selection. As mentioned in his presser via Cleveland.com, head coach Hue Jackson will see what Kessler is made of in their third game of the season.
