The Buffalo Bills will try and get their first win of the season at home against the Arizona Cardinals who are coming off an impressive win against Tampa Bay this past weekend.

There was a bit of a shakeup this past week within the Bills coaching staff. On Friday after their Thursday night home opener loss to the New York Jets, the Bills announced they relieved offensive coordinator Greg Roman of his duties as the OC. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the firing was head coach Rex Ryan’s move. Why the firing after the team scored 31 points against a top defensive front? Not sure. But we do know that evidently, the firing was a sort of desperation for Ryan. The offense looked like it was coming around.

After a putrid performance in Week 1, the Bills opened things up via the air as quarterback Tyrod Taylor had a heck of a night. Can’t fault your OC for scoring 31 points yet still losing the game. But hey, that’s Rex Ryan for ya right?

If the Bills fail to win against the Cardinals I’d be willing to bet serious money Ryan won’t be hanging out Up State New York much longer. Right now, all Ryan has to cling onto are his cherished Jets teams in 2009 and 2010. Great team’s yes. But those two seasons are the reasons why he stayed in New York for so long, and the reason why he ultimately got the job in Buffalo.

This very well could be Ryan’s last rodeo as a head coach. And time is not his friend at the moment. Forget being competitive, this team needs a win(s). They’ll do all they can come Sunday, but they don’t match up well at all against a top five offense that the Arizona Cardinals proudly own. With that being said, let’s get to the specifics of the game.

Date: Sunday, September 25
Start: 1:00 p.m. EST
Location: Buffalo, New York
Venue: New Era Stadium

We’ll find out what Buffalo is made of on Sunday but the shakeup this past week does absolutely no good for their offense, no good for Tyrod Taylor as a progressing quarterback, and no good for Rex either. I’m intrigued to see just how the team, and in particular the offense, will come out on Sunday.
