2. Dak Prescott

So far this season, Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz have both impressed as rookie quarterbacks guiding NFC East teams. While Wentz has his team at 2-0, it’s been against mediocre squads. Prescott nearly led his team to a Week 1 win over Eli Manning and the Giants. The Cowboys fell by a point at home but in Week 2 Prescott was able to help bring his team a hard-fought victory over Kirk Cousins and the Redskins.

Coming into the league, Prescott was a relative unknown. Drafted out of Mississippi State, he wasn’t really expected to play much, since most people thought Tony Romo was going to be healthy. When Romo went down, Prescott got the nod, and he still wasn’t expected to do much. Fans and fantasy owners have been pleasantly surprised.

Through two games, Prescott has put up solid stats for a rookie. He’s completed 47 of his 75 passes for 519 yards. He’s shown versatility in scoring a rushing touchdown on a pass fake against the Redskins. In addition to all that, he’s yet to cough up the football yet, unlike his fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliott. In fact, 75 pass attempts without an interception thrown is a rookie record.

Prescott’s fantasy value has been steadily rising too. The Cowboys rookie has looked comfortable in the role of starting quarterback and so far hasn’t been shaken too much. He’s got a favorable matchup at home for Week 3 against the Chicago Bears which makes him a strong option to start for your quarterback position.
