A team that is riding high and playing for a fallen teammate has to be one of destiny, right? The Nebraska Cornhuskers have cracked the Top 25 for the first time in a couple of years and they might be here to stay. That is, however, if they can get past a pesky Northwestern team that always seems to play its best ball when given no chance.

Am I crazy to think that a team which has lost to Western Michigan and Illinois State already this season can knock off the No. 20 program in the country? Probably, but this is college football and wild upsets like this happen all the time when conference play begins.

Playing at Northwestern isn’t as daunting of a task as, let’s say, traveling to Columbus to face Ohio State, but a night game in Evanston might be the perfect atmosphere for an upset. There have been multiple occasions over the years where the Wildcats have fed off a raucous home crowd under the lights to make upset bids, and this could be the perfect chance.

What better way to get back after two horrid losses in the first three weeks of the year than to beat a ranked conference opponent in front of your own crowd?

Tommy Armstrong is prone to making mistakes and turning the ball over while Northwestern’s defense might be its strongest asset. Could they force the senior quarterback into one of the toughest losses of his career?
