Fantasy Premier League enters Week 6. Here’s a look at some players you should add, and some you should drop.
Manchester City, Leicester, Southampton and Tottenham fans all grabbed shutout victories in Week 5, thanks in part to some lopsided matchups. This week, we see a few more even contests. Manchester United play Leicester, Arsenal and Chelsea face off and Burnley take on Watford on Monday.
As I picked my team this week, I wanted to stay away from players in these matches, just because the outcomes are harder to predict than that of, say, Manchester City against Sunderland. That doesn’t mean you should steer clear of all players in those close-to-call games, but be wary.
It’s getting hard to decide who to pick and who to drop at this point, as teams settle into their grooves. One week you think a player like Alvaro Negredo is the best, and the next he grabs two points. It’s still too early to say whether Negredo will struggle this season, but you should watch him and others closely to see if they can put up consistent performances.
You also have to watch for the matchup’s ahead. This week, I decided to stay away from Arsenal and Chelsea players because I’m not 100 percent sure who will win that match. The best thing to do is pick players that are facing easier or evenly matched opponents.
I favored teams like Everton, Manchester City and Watford this week, and wanted to stay away from players on Manchester United and Liverpool.
