The latest New York Jets at Kansas City Chiefs odds, trends and other information ahead of their 2016 NFL Week 3 match-up.
The Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the New York Jets on Sunday in a match-up of 1-1 AFC teams. Both teams are talented enough to make it to the playoffs in 2016, but they have hit some speed bumps through the first two games of the season. The Jets wasted a nice effort in their season opener, losing at home to the Cincinnati Bengals, while the Chiefs looked lost on offense last week in a road loss to the Houston Texans.
The Jets beat the Buffalo Bills in Week 2, as they finally were able to notch a victory against former coach Rex Ryan. New York will be coming into their match-up with the Chiefs on ten days rest, and they will need it as both of their star wide receivers are listed as questionable. Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall are incredible playmakers for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, and they should have some favorable match-ups against a young Chiefs secondary.
Kansas City is always tough at home, and the team will be looking to rebound from a bad loss against the Texans last week. They may still be without starting running back Jamaal Charles, who is battling back from a torn ACL last year. Spencer Ware has played well in his absence but does not have the kind of game-changing ability Charles does.
The Chiefs will be a three-point home favorite on Sunday as they look continue their winning ways at Arrowhead Stadium. The over/under started out at 44, but with Charles almost being certain not to play, it has shrunk to 42.

As for trends, the Jets are 2-3-2 in their last seven road games against the spread. However, as a road underdog, which they are on Sunday, they are 5-0-2 in their last seven. If you plan on betting New York straight up, they are 6-2 in their last eight games.
The Chiefs are always a solid play straight up and are 11-0 in their last 11 games when favored. In their last six games against the Jets, Kansas City is 5-1 against the spread, though they are 0-2 ATS in 2016. The Chiefs and Jets have played to the under in four of their last six meetings.
