The latest betting odds, trends and more for this NFC North matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
In perhaps the most interesting game in the noon slate on Sunday, the Green Bay Packers will host the Detroit Lions in an important NFC North matchup. Both teams enter this game at 1-1 and will be looking to keep pace with the 2-0 Minnesota Vikings at the top of the division.
Oddshark lists the home team Packers as eight point favorites in this game. Despite both teams being 1-1, the Packers have the more complete roster and rarely drop the ball at home. The over/under for this game is set at 48.
Despite the Packers being heavy favorites, the trends paint a brighter picture for the Lions. Detroit is 4-1 both against the spread and straight up in their last five games overall, with the same 4-1 record in their last five on the road.

In comparison, the Packers are 2-4 against the spread and straight up in their last six games. On top of that, they are 1-4 in their last five games against the spread at home. The trends clearly favor the Lions in this one.
Also, in 14 of the Lions’ last 19 games on the road, the total points has hit the under. The under has also been the play in 12 of the Packers’ last 17 games overall.
Betting the trends can be tricky, but the Lions and the under seem to be the best bets here.

This should be an extremely interesting game between two potentially explosive offensive units. Aaron Rodgers has struggled more than we are used to seeing this season, but a date against the Lions’ leaky defense could be just what the doctor ordered for Rodgers and company.
Also, Matthew Stafford has had a strong start to the season, with wide receiver Marvin Jones being an immediate impact player for the team. The trends paint a pretty obvious picture here, but counting out Rodgers and the Packers could quickly become a mistake.
This will be the first matchup of the season for these NFC North rivals. The game will kickoff at 1 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI. The game will be televised live on FOX, and can also be watched via a live online stream.
