Redskins at Giants: Odds, trends and more
The latest Redskins at Giants NFL odds trends, and other information ahead of their 2016 NFL Week 3 game.
It’s hard to believe, but the NFL schedule is already at the Week 3 mark. We are nearing the first-quarter of the season and for many teams this weekends game is truly a measuring stick for which direction they may end up headed towards this December. One of those teams is the Washington Redskins.
Fresh off of an NFC East title in 2015, the Skins came into this year with high expectations. Well, if they even want to think of making a return trip to the playoffs, they will need to win this Sunday against the New York Giants. Looking at the recent trends in this series, things don’t look good for Washington.
Recent history shows that the Giants have owned the Redskins when they meet in New York.
New York has won seven of the last eight matchups at home vs. the Redskins, but the dominance in this series goes even deeper than that. New York has won five of the last six head-to-head meetings, including sweeps in 2013 and 2014.
With stats like that and the way the Giants and Redskins are currently playing, this looks like it could be another win for the G-Men.
If you are into playing totals, or playing either one of these teams defenses on fantasy football, here is a good total number trend to keep in mind. The over/under number total has gone under in 11 of Washington’s last 13 games when playing on the road against NY Giants. With the way the Giants defense is playing, this game has the makings of another under total.
Las Vegas odds makers have the Giants listed as 4.5 point favorites, with the over/under total set at 45.5.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET from Metlife Stadium Heading into this matchup, the Giants have a 2-0 record, while the Redskins are 0-2.
