The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3 action.

When the NFL schedules first came out, Eagles fans were excited to see the Steelers would be coming town. However, not many fans realized that this early matchup would be a battle between two 2-0 teams that are both playing well.

When the Eagles shocked the world by picking Carson Wentz second overall in the 2016 NFL draft, many fans in Philly were left scratching their heads. Really? Wentz? From North Dakota State?

Well, two games do not make a season, or a career for that matter. However, Wentz is off to a great start in the City of Brotherly Love, where winning instantly makes you the toast of the town. This weekend may be a little difficult though for the rookie quarterback and the Eagles when the Steelers visit Lincoln Financial Field.

According to a CBS Sports report, Wentz looked cool under pressure in his second NFL game as he followed up an impressive debut with another solid performance. He finished the Monday night matchup against the Bears throwing for 190 yards and a touchdown, and more importantly leading the Eagles to a 29-14 win in Chicago.

“Throughout the week, I just realized I’m going back to kind of where my life changed so to speak,” Wentz said. ”It was cool to be back here, especially to come out here with the win.”

Wentz will now face another quarterback who raised a few eyebrows when he was selected out of Miami, Ohio back in 2004, Ben Roethlisberger.

Roethlisberger proved small college quarterbacks can win in the NFL and now Wentz would like nothing more than to follow in his footsteps. A win Sunday would go a long way for the rookie, but it won’t be easy.

Las Vegas odds makers have the Steelers listed as a four point favorite with the over/under number set at 46.

This game should be a good one, and may come down to the final drive. The Eagles are playing great football for a team that many experts predicted would not do well this season.

I expect the Eagles to play a tough game, but I am worried about a short week of preparation following the Monday night game in Chicago. The Eagles may not win, but they will keep it closer than most think.
