Ubisoft CEO praises Nintendo NX
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot claims that the Nintendo NX is “fantastic” and it will offer a “different experience” compared to other consoles.
With Nintendo’s new console, Nintendo NX, currently in development and gearing up for a release in March of 2017, it looks like Nintendo is presenting their new console under wraps to some of the biggest video game developers in the industry.
On Thursday, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, had nothing but good things to say about the upcoming console. IGN was able to get some comments straight from Guillemot himself about why he’s extremely excited for the NX and how Nintendo has learned from their mistakes with the Wii U.
Check out some of what he had to say:
"I think, once again, the interface is very attractive. It’s a machine that will be easy to use for all gamers. They have built something that will give us a chance to really have a different experience from what exists today. That’s what I like – that they come with something new that is adapted to what we actually want now."

He also made many other comments praising the console, calling it “a fantastic machine” and how different the new console will be to other consoles on the market like the PS4 and Xbox One.
Obviously, it’s no secret that the Wii U hasn’t been the most successful console. But this is familiar ground for Nintendo. The GameCube wasn’t a runaway success either, but Nintendo learned from its mistakes and adapted to create something incredible. The Nintendo Wii is one of the highest selling home consoles of all time and if history repeats itself, the NX will be spectacular. We can’t wait to see what the company has in store with this new console along with the lineup of games it has planned.
