25 college football coaches you want to party with
By Brad Weiss
20. Pat Fitzgerald
Pat Fitzgerald is Northwestern Football. During his playing days for the Wildcats, Fitzgerald was a two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and led the team to their best season in school history. In 1996, Northwestern made it to the Rose Bowl, which was their first bowl since 1949. The Wildcats lost to USC in the game, but Fitzgerald’s legacy at the school was cemented.
In 2006, Fitzgerald was named the head coach of Northwestern after the untimely death of Randy Walker. Only 31 years old at the time, Fitzgerald stepped right in with his blue-collar work ethic. Under his leadership, Northwestern has won nine or more games three times, and has gone to six bowl games.
Judging by his overall personality, Fitzgerald is likely a great guy to party with. His attitude and personality are very contagious, and people seem to gravitate towards him. He’s been a legend on the Northwestern campus for years, and definitely knows the best places to party.
Fitzgerald just seems like a great guy to be around, and a night out partying with him would be a great time. He was once the big man on campus during his playing days, and being only 41 years old, can probably still hang with the best of them.
