Ranking the five best fantasy football options for the game between the Buffalo Bills and the Arizona Cardinals.

The talk this week in Buffalo has been about dumbing down the offense and taking things game by game after the firing of offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Bills running back LeSean McCoy and guard Richie Incognito both agreed that Roman’s offense had guys thinking too much, per Bills.com. Take it however you want but part of what makes any offense good is it’s ability to outsmart defenses, which doesn’t happen with a simplified offense.

Anyway, let’s now take a look at the five best fantasy choices for Sunday’s game against Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals.

5. Charles Clay, TE, Buffalo Bills

Look, Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is going to have to look for his tight end to keep this offense going and to sustain drives. The Cardinals secondary promotes multiple mismatches as far as covering receivers goes, so Taylor will have to look elsewhere on passing downs.

Clay has caught only seven passes for 67 yards in two games. He’s an extremely talented player and can use his size to box out whoever is guarding him. In his two seasons thus far in Buffalo, he’s been mightily unused and idle for the Bills. They didn’t bring him in to stay in and block all the time. Getting Clay involved will open up more for their subtle offense two games into the season.

He can line up at fullback too. While he’s a good blocker, he’s a better pass catcher. With receiver Sammy Watkins likely out for this game, Clay becomes an interesting option at a tight end spot for your squad. He’s listed as questionable, but he’s expected to play. Expect seven or eight targets for Clay on Sunday.
