A look at how to watch Saturday night’s Big Ten contest between Northwestern and Nebraska.
Big Ten play will take place throughout Saturday, Sept. 24. Northwestern host No. 20 Nebraska in one of those games.
The Cornhuskers have been red-hot to begin the 2016 season. They’ve topped 35 points per game in each of their three contests, which have been against Fresno State, Wyoming and then-No. 22 Oregon. While two of the three were easy wins, the rushing attack has impressed.
This has seen running backs Devine Ozigbo and Terrell Newby combine for over 350 yards and five touchdowns. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. is Nebraska’s second leading rusher, scoring four touchdowns on 149 yards. His accuracy in the passing game has been spotty at best (55.4 completion percentage), but his ability to make plays with his feet is carrying the offense.
The total offensive attack has seen them average 461.3 yards per game, a trend that could continue against the struggling Wildcats.
Northwestern is off to a 1-2 start. While their defense has limited opponents, the offense has been nonexistent. They defeated Duke in Week 3, 24-13, but only scored 7 points in a loss to Illinois State and 21 against West Michigan. It will make keeping up with Nebraska’s attack difficult, so an early defensive performance of the year may be necessary.
