Will the LSU Tigers fire head coach Les Miles after yet another disappointing loss?
The LSU Tigers have done it again. They have dropped a disappointing road game to a team they should have defeated. Now, the Tigers’ playoff hopes are gone after their loss to Auburn and the calendar still says September. That’s not what Les Miles needed.
LSU came out flat again and the execution was not there. After the Tigers lost to Wisconsin to begin the season, the chatter was there for whether or not the Tigers should let go of Miles. The only reason he kept his job last season was because of the way the team and fans came to his defense.
However, that can only take him so far and once again the program is having another embarrassing year. This is a team that was a playoff favorite of many and now they’ll be lucky to play in a decent bowl game at all. Boosters aren’t going to put up with that and the program has high expectations.
The hot seat is officially nuclear for Miles and if he is able to hold onto his job after this loss, he can’t afford another soon or that should do it for him. This was a bad loss to have, as Auburn isn’t exactly the program they once were.

What makes the loss even worse for the Tigers is that they thought they escaped with a win. They scored on a touchdown as regulation expired, but review showed the snap was not before time ran out. The taste of defeat is strong in Baton Rouge right now.
