The AP Poll has been released for Week 5, and it seems that this weekend’s upsets have laid waste to the projected rankings.

After a somewhat quiet weekend in College Football, this weekend brought the pain as far as title hopeful programs going down. From Ole Miss and Wisconsin mustering up huge wins to the likes of LSU and Michigan State falling, things have been shaken and stirred in the AP Top 25 poll ahead of Week 5.

Of course, where teams fall others seize the opportunity to make their way up the rankings. Then there are teams like Alabama and Ohio State, who are treading water atop the poll, as others wait for something to go wrong and open up a hole for a run at the College Football Playoffs.

Here’s a look at the AP Poll after Week 4:

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Louisville
4. Michigan

That’s what the College Football Playoffs would look like right now, but there is plenty of time to change that. Especially if you’re one of the powerhouse teams on the outside of the Top-4 looking in.

5. Clemson
6. Houston
7. Stanford
8. Wisconsin
9. Texas A&M
10. Washington

With Wisconsin moving up into the Top-10, there was room for other teams to slowly start their climb back to respectability. Florida State seems to still be alive for a Top-10 ranking while Tennessee and Miami are both knocking on the door with Baylor.

11. Tennessee
12. Florida State
13. Baylor
14. Miami (FL)
15. Nebraska
16. Ole Miss
17. Michigan State
18. Utah
19. San Diego State
20. Arkansas

21. TCU
22. Texas
23. Florida
24. Boise State
25. Georgia

Things are only going to get tighter as the season continues, but it looks like no matter what happens, seasons have already ended. Pour one out for both LSU and Notre Dame, as there is basically no way for them to get back into things after the way they started their seasons.

We’ll have to wait until next week to see if any other titans fall from the ranks.
