Week 4 of college football is in the books and it’s time to overreact to what happened on the field.

Week 4 is the first real week of the season where the landscape of college football has changed. With conference play in full swing and big programs going down, contenders are rising and pretenders are falling. There was a lot to take in this week in college football and there were plenty of exciting games.

There were huge comebacks that set a program up to succeed, while there were reviews that broke the heart of a team. It was a reminder that anything can happen on the gridiron and no team is safe from a downfall. With a big week over, it’s time to overreact to what happened in college football.

5. Notre Dame is massively overrated

Brian Kelly might be a little nervous right now. For the second week in a row, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish dropped a disappointing game. This week, the Fighting Irish lost to the Duke Blue Devils at home. That is not nearly as forgivable as losing to Michigan State.

Simply put, this team is overrated and just not that talented. Yes, they lost a lot to the NFL Draft this past year, but this team just wasn’t ready to play this season. They’ve gone from playoff contender to 1-3 after four games. Whether or not this has any impact on Kelly remains to be seen.

If there is one thing this team needs to do, it’s fight the rest of the way and show a little more heart on the field. If they can do that and finish with a respectable record it might just be seen as a down season. For now, the Irish are very overrated.
