Week 3 is already upon us!  I hope you are all having success with your cash game lineups as we have easily cashed the first 2 weeks.  I look to keep things going in week 3, and also step up my GPP game this week and get into the money!  This week is a little tougher, as the pricing is so soft on Fanduel, and we have a ton of injuries.  The pricing makes it easy to fit 3-4 absolute studs into your lineups.  Pair that with those injuries which provide cheap value plays that have a chance to go off, and you have some lineups that may put up a lot of points today.

I follow the 70-30 rule when I make my game selections on DFS.  I take the amount I plan on playing, and use 70% of that on cash games, like 50/50’s and double ups, and use 30% on GPP’s or tournaments.  Using this method will help you increase your bankroll at a steady rate.  The secret to being a profitable DFS player is staying disciplined and not get carried away and play a ton of games with a ton of different lineups.  I know it’s hard because playing is so much FUN!

Let’s take a look at the cash game lineup I’m rolling with today to make it 3 winners in a row!

Here is my week 3 cash game lineup.  I’m going with a very balanced lineup with a lot of players in good matchups.  I’m not too concerned with ownership percentage with this lineup, as several of these players should be highly owned today.  This lineup is for the main slate on Fanduel.

Week 3 Cash Game Fanduel Lineup

Phillip Rivers has an outstanding matchup today against the Indianapolis Colts defense which has struggled mightily against the pass this season.  This game is likely going to be a shoot out because the San Diego Chargers defense is just as bad.  I look for Rivers to have a shot at 3 TD’s and over 300 yards today.

At running back, both guys have outstanding matchups.  Elliott is going up against a Chicago Defense who made the Eagles look like an offensive juggernaut.  I think Dallas gets an early lead and rides the rookie until the end.  Murray goes up against an Oakland defense that has given up a ton of points this season.  With Titans TE Delanie Walker a little banged up, I think Murray will be a bigger focus for the offense this week.

At the wide receiver position, NO ONE on the Eagles is going to be able to contain Antonio Brown.  I’m not sold on the Eagles defense, they have looked good so far, but that has been against the Cleveland Browns, and Chicago Bears.  Look for his to get back to his studly ways today.  DeVante Parker got his first action of the season last week and gets a tasty matchup against the Cleveland Browns today.  I look for him to get 8+ targets today and find the endzone.  Stefon Diggs is the only weapon the Minnesota Vikings really have after the loss of Adrian Peterson.  I think this game is higher scoring that most believe, and I think Diggs receives as many targets as he wants against a very young Carolina Panther secondary.

Dennis Pitta gets the call at TE for me today.  He and Flacco have a great relationship on the field and I think he will be his go to guy today.  He has a great shot at scoring a TD and will likely have 5 or more catches for 70 yards against a Jacksonville Defense that hasn’t quite lived up to it’s preseason hype.

The Miami Dolphins defense and kicker round out our cash game lineup.  Miami is one of the biggest favorites on the board and their defense should be able to take advantage of a very bad Cleveland Browns team.  They will be highly owned, but in cash games that really doesn’t matter to me.  Andrew Franks should benefit from playing the Cleveland Browns as well, Miami should put up 24 or more points today.

I’m hoping this is the week my tourney lineup gets in the win column.  I’m taking a few chances at the running back position, but I feel both of those guys are in great spots.

I’m rolling with Big Ben and Antonio as the focal point in my tourney lineup this week.  As I said before, I’m just not sold on the Eagles defense.  I think Ben and Antonio go off today.  Ben should put up at least 300 yards and 3 TD’s against a very weak Philadelphia Eagles secondary.

At running back, I’m taking a chance on both players.  Kenyan Drake looks like he is getting the start for the Miami Dolphins.  He was a 3rd round pick and has a ton of upside, especially in the passing game.  I think he takes advantage of his opportunity today and really shows out.  Frank Gore gets the nod at my other running back spot.  I like his matchup, and with Donte Moncrief out I think Gore may become a bigger part of the Colts offense.

More from DFS

Antonio Brown is the obvious choice to pair up with Big Ben.  I feel he is going to have one of those games today.  Allen Robinson is in a great spot today as well.  The Ravens are not very solid in the secondary, and his ownership should be low because he hasn’t had a break out game yet this season.  Another player that hasn’t had a break out game yet this year is Tyler Lockett.  Russell Wilson is getting healthier, and San Francisco proved they can be thrown on last week after Cam Newton torched them!  With Doug Baldwin and Thomas Rawls banged up, Lockett may be Russell’s go to guy today.

Jordan Reed gets the call at TE today.  I think a lot of people will be going cheap at TE today, so his ownership will be low and he has a great chance to go off against a Giants D that is improved, but still vulnerable against the TE position.  He is getting targets each game, and today I think he makes his way into the endzone.

Ryan Succop and the Cincinnati Bengals round out my lineup.  Succop goes against a horrible Raider defense and I think Tennessee puts up some points.  The Bengals are going very overlooked today in my opinion.  I think they shut down C.J. Anderson today and force the Broncos to throw the ball.  I think they get a defensive TD today.
