The Carolina Panthers host the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 for a pivotal NFC showdown. Here are the players on both teams that are inactive from this game.

The Carolina Panthers (1-1) host the undefeated Minnesota Vikings (2-0) for a crucial NFC game in Charlotte on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff from Bank of America Stadium is at 1:00 PM ET. FOX will have the telecast.

Both of these teams have the rosters necessary to orchestrate a deep playoff run in the NFC. Carolina is the defending NFC Champion and Minnesota has an elite defense, head coach, and general manager. However, the Panthers and the Vikings have been bit by the injury bug repeatedly in the early part of the season.

Carolina will be without its starting running back Jonathan Stewart, as he suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him for this week’s game. Cameron Artis-Payne will take most of the snaps in the Carolina backfield.

Minnesota has had to put three starters on season-ending injured reserve in just a matter of weeks. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was lost for the season after nearly losing his leg during Vikings training camp in Eden Prairie. Minnesota traded for former Philadelphia Eagles starter Sam Bradford and it seems to be working out just fine for the Vikings.

In Week 2, Minnesota lost left tackle Matt Kalil and running back Adrian Peterson to the injured reserve. Kalil further decimates an already terrible Vikings offensive line. Peterson may have played his last snaps of football in his hall of fame career. Jerick McKinnon is now the lead running back for the Vikings the rest of the way.
