Sevilla face Lyon at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan on Tuesday Sept. 27. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Sevilla have entered a new era after the departure of former manager Unai Emery to PSG over the summer. Jorge Sampaoli, formerly of the Chilean national team, has come in as a replacement and has gotten off to a decent start. They beat Espanyol 6-4 on the opening day of the league season, but results have normalized since then. Arguably Sevilla’s best performance of the season came in the Champions League, when they secured a 0-0 draw against Juventus in Turin. This has always been a tournament team, so perhaps they are saving their best for the Champions League after winning the Europa League three years in a row.

Lyon got off to a very comfortable start in Group H, beating Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 at home two weeks ago. Assuming, however, that Zagreb prove, as expected, to be the weakest team in this group, Lyon will need good results against either Sevilla or Juventus to advance to the round of 16. Considering they have already ready lost three of seven Ligue 1 games that may be a big ask.
The Champions League match between Sevilla and Lyon will be broadcast online only. This should be a fun game between two sides boasting plenty of attacking talent. Sevilla are favorites at home, but in Alexandre Lacazette Lyon possess arguably the match’s most dangerous player.
