I don’t care about previous losses against teams like Northwestern…I really don’t even care about the fact that Notre Dame has been the most disappointing team in college football this season. The fact is that the Blue Devils went into South Bend and left with a win.

Where Duke has an advantage if they can right the ship from two early season losses is that they have finally found some balance. Daniel Jones had a great day throwing the ball and Jela Duncan matched it running the ball. Don’t sleep on Duke when it comes time for the postseason.

The national college football world is looking at the Hokies and still wondering what happened to them several weeks ago against Tennessee. Those in the ACC know that Virginia Tech can be really scary once they get everything worked out.

Head coach Justin Fuente has the Hokies playing angry after that loss and not taking anything for granted from this point on. With games still left against teams like Miami and North Carolina, Virginia Tech has the talent to get back to the conference title game and maybe make the playoff race interesting.

Once again, the bye week strikes and sees a team drop down in the power rankings. The Hurricanes and their fans are feeling pretty good about themselves after a 3-0 start to the year and an argument for being the top team in the Sunshine State right now.

We’re going to find out about “The U” pretty soon as their next four games include Georgia Tech, Florida State, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Miami has the offensive talent, led by Brad Kaaya, to go undefeated over that span – they also have the defensive level that could seem them go 1-3 just as easily.
