The new Battlefield 1 trailer is out, and it focuses on the different war stories and historical characters we’ll encounter as we play through it.

This upcoming holiday season is stacked with new video game releases. Some of the most notable ones are Gears of War 4Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and maybe the most anticipated, Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1 will contain huge maps, a variety of guns, extremely fun multiplayer modes, and 60+ players in one lobby. The Battlefield series is extremely popular, and this is looking like the best one yet.

Possibly the biggest aspect that caught everyone’s attention is the fact that this game will be returning to the beginning of war itself, World War I. With most shooters focusing on a futuristic setting, fans have been wanting a return to traditional gameplay, and Battlefield 1 has done exactly that. Players got a taste of what the game will offer when the beta was released last month, and it’s safe to say that it’s looking very promising.

But with the new trailer released on Tuesday, it’s all about the single-player campaign. Games like these aren’t typically bought or played because of their single-player modes, but after looking at the trailer, this one could be different. Amazing cut scenes, killer visuals, and great gameplay are the aspects that stand out the most, so hopefully, it’s a great experience. Check out the new trailer below:

In the new Battlefield 1 single-player campaign, players will be able to immerse themselves in a variety of different war stories, and they’ll be able to learn a bit about the history of WWI. With the focus being about the people rather than the history or battles, it looks like a great way to learn about those who were a part of it.

The single-player campaign will focus on different stories through the eyes of different protagonists, each having a unique skill set and background. These are called War Stories. To give an example, the story, “Through Mud and Blood” takes place in the war and centers on a British Mark V Tank Crew.  You play as a young soldier assigned to the crew as the tank’s driver. The twist is here is that the soldier has no experience doing this kind of work, and he must adapt in order to do the job correctly, and most importantly, survive. Sounds a lot like the 2014 film Fury. To see other War Stories you’ll be able to play through, check out the official Battlefield blog.

Battlefield 1 will launch on October 21, 2016.
