24. Cincinnati Bengals

56. It’s too early in the season to declare the Cincinnati Bengals are done. They’re way too talented and proven a team for that. At some point both of those advantages will begin to announce themselves. Odds are they’ll get in with a wild card playoff berth. Whether they do something with that unlike every year since 1990 is up for furious debate.
So why tight end? Well if the Bengals insist that Andy Dalton remains their guy then they must embrace every opportunity to get playmakers on offense. There is also the matter of Tyler Eifert. When healthy he can be a difference-maker in the passing game but therein lay the problem. He has a hard time staying on the field. At some point the team must think about insurance.

Jake Butt is just the kind of player they would like. He’s well-coached, tough, talented and versatile. He takes his responsibilities as a blocker seriously. Yet it’s his mix of size and athleticism that has draft experts so excited. He can threaten the seams with his speed and has enough height to consistently win 50/50 jump ball situations. A guy who never has to come off the field.
. TE. Michigan. Jake Butt . 24. player
