Celtic took the lead (again) and Manchester City equalized shortly after (again) in the second half at Celtic Park.
The second half started the way the first half started: with Moussa Dembele putting the ball in the net. This time it was with a beautiful overhead kick into the side netting. The Celtic man was very much onside this time, taking advantage of a terrible miscue by Kolarov, whose clearing attempt went right to Dembele.
"Barely has the 2nd half begun, and they score again at Celtic Park. Dembele with his 2nd. Celtic lead 3-2! #UCLonFOX https://t.co/7si0qL5k96— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) September 28, 2016"
And City answered right back! This time, it was Nolito who picked up the scraps off a saved Aguero shot and slotted home in the empty net. Once again the Celtic defense was nowhere to be found, allowing an unmarked Nolito to find the ball in the box.
"Nolito makes it 3-3. Who’s next? #UCLonFOX https://t.co/OMXZi3WvyY— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) September 28, 2016"
After a 7-0 thumping away to Barcelona, Celtic need the points. Will Brendan Rogers throw caution to the wind and go for the full three points or will they conserve the result and get a point?
With a home and away affair coming up against Monchengladbach, they will be wise to get at least a draw out of this one. The German side are currently tied against Barcelona so it will be all to play for as the two sides will face each other in November.
Man City has been settling into their possession game and things have calmed down a bit. Pep is bringing John Stones on the pitch, in a seemingly defensive move. With all the defensive errors we saw so far, it may be wise to shake things up a bit on the back line.
Celtic look threatening on the counter, as they try to find gaps behind the City back line. Stay tuned, we are on track for double digit goals here and a 5-5 draw.
