2. The Mad Hatter could make headgear selection interesting

The headgear selection part of College GameDay has made Corso a household name. The pundits will make their selections for each intriguing game on the weekend’s slate before Corso puts on the headgear of the mascot of the team he thinks is going to win.

Miles doesn’t seem like the type of guy who’s going to be cool with putting a Gator head on his dome. He’s about hats, white hats in particular. Miles’ nickname is the Mad Hatter for his crisp, white ball caps and his obvious eccentricity as a human being.

Every college team has white hats being sold at the campus bookstore. The Mad Hatter getting to pick his hat each week kind of how a high school senior does before committing to his school could be an interesting part of the College GameDay experience.

Again, this could be an opportunity for ESPN to have the Mad Hatter Selection sponsored by an apparel company. Of course, ESPN is going to have to figure out how to spice up the hat selection part of the show beyond Miles just picking between two hats, but there might be something there.
