Buccaneers PR team labels team 1-3 ahead of Broncos game
By Mark Gunnels
The struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers play host to the reigning Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos this Sunday, but apparently the game has already been played.
Expectations were higher than normal for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the offseason, but for good reason.
One of the obvious reasons is because Jameis Winston has a year under his belt and with that in mind, the former Heisman Trophy winner was expected to take his game to the next level. Unfortunately for Winston and the Bucs coaching staff, things have been rough to put it kindly.
Through three games, Winston has already thrown six interceptions, which is an average of two per game. During his rookie campaign, Winston threw 15 picks.

In Winston’s defense, he’s been forced to air it out more than any other quarterback this season thus far. He’s thrown the ball 142 times already, which is the second most of any first or second year quarterbacks through three games.
The primary reason for Winston tossing the ball around so much is due to Tampa Bay getting behind, putting themselves in obvious passing situations.
"“My job is just to do whatever coach [Dirk] Koetter asks me to do,” Winston said. “Obviously, the way the games of been playing out, we have had to be in more passing situations. I just do what I’m coached to do. Go out there and try to get wins.”"
With the vaunted Denver defense up next, it’ll be tough sledding once again for Winston and company. If there’s one team you don’t want to be in obvious passing situations against, it would be the Broncos.
The contest is set to kickoff at 4:05 Eastern time inside Raymond James Stadium, but the Bucs public relations team already has their team locked in to lose and fall to (1-3).
The Bucs are big underdogs already as it is, but you’d think the public relations team would show more confidence in their boys.
