Keys to Victory
The Cardinals have to score early. They have failed to score a point in the first quarter this season and it has disrupted the team greatly. If they can get points on the board, then it might make things difficult on the Rams to follow suit.
Todd Gurley needs to get out and running against Arizona. If the Rams are going to have a chance on the road, they will need their running back to bust some big runs. That means trusting his blockers and finding a lane.
Lastly, the Cardinals’ special teams needs to be better. They are bringing in a new long snapper and punter this week to help out. Perhaps it could provide the spark that they need.
Prediction
The Cardinals are embarrassed. They have talent that was picked by many to make the Super Bowl this season. There have been flashes, but the team has not put it completely together yet. This week, general manager Steve Keim was done playing around and made several roster moves.
Guys are on notice and they don’t want to follow out that door. They’ll get points up in a hurry and get after the Rams on both sides of the ball. Carson Palmer will be much better and David Johnson will continue to dominate. Gurley gets two scores, but it isn’t enough.
Pick: Arizona 31, Los Angeles 17
