World Cup of Hockey: Zdeno Chara sneaks shot past Carey Price, gives Europe 1-0 lead (Video)
Zdeno Chara snuck a wrist shot past Carey Price to give Europe a 1-0 lead in the World Cup of Hockey.
Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara clearly isn’t as good as he was in the past. However, as the Toby Keith song goes, he’s as good once as he ever was.
Chara went vintage with a wrist shot to beat Carey Price and give Europe a 1-0 lead.
Europe has come out strong in game two of the World Cup of Hockey finals after a game one loss. Chara is still a deadly man when he shoots the puck, even though his speed has abandoned him, his strength and power have not. Give credit to Edmonton Oilers defenseman Andrej Sekera for an excellent pass and for moving the puck up the ice.

Canada has been dominant throughout the World Cup, but they are struggling a bit against Europe. Credit Krueger for that. While Canada has the clear skill advantage, Krueger and Europe have a great game plan that has slowed them down and jammed them. Europe is made up of players from European countries who didn’t field full teams at the World Cup.
Team Canada currently leads Europe 1-0 in the best of three final.
