Check out a new video on the Nintendo Classic Mini NES
In a new video titled “A Blast from the Past” released by Nintendo UK’s YouTube channel, we see everything the Nintendo Classic Mini NES has to offer.
Earlier this year, Nintendo announced a brand-new Nintendo system (well, not really). This caters to all of you gamers who grew up in the ’80s and were able to play these incredible games when they were first launched.
The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) revolutionized the gaming industry and it’s one of the few consoles responsible for placing video games in the status that they are in today. We’ve been able to revisit these games in three ways: you either still have a functioning NES, you downloaded an emulator on your PC or hacked another console, or you’ve downloaded them from the Virtual Console or eShop on your Wii’s or Wii U’s.
Other than that, gamers have been wanting to channel their inner nostalgia for quite some time now and Nintendo has responded with the announcement of a new Classic Mini NES console. It looks almost exactly the same as the original, just a lot smaller.
In a new video, we get a closer look at what the new retro console will offer. Check it out below:
We know what games will be included in the 30-game collection, such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc., and the return of the NES controller; the video also shows off some new information on the console.
One nice and new little detail is the option to change the display. You can keep it classic at 4:3 resolution, switch on the CRT filter, or you can make the screen pixel perfect, which utilizes the new HDMI port. Also, you’ll be able to save your progress in game and start right where you left off. So, no more leaving on your console all day in hopes that you’ll still be in the same place when you come back.
This is the perfect console for old-school and classic gamers to revisit these games they grew up playing non-stop. But, it’s also a great opportunity for a new generation of gamers to experience some of the greatest games of all-time. For a cheap price of only $60, this is an absolute bargain and we can’t wait to pick it up on November 11.
