Starting the season as a ranked team looked to bode well for the UCLA Bruins, but they have gone just 2-2 in four games. The Bruins are struggling to put a full game together, and that may have already costed them a College Football Playoff shot.
The Bruins are led by Josh Rosen, a talented sophomore quarterback who has passed for 1,165 yards and five touchdowns with four interceptions. He might be the top quarterback in the conference, but he’s not getting much help.
Soso Jamabo has led the run game with 198 yards and three touchdowns, but the Bruins just don’t pound the ball much on the ground. That will need to change in order to preserve the arm of Rosen moving forward.
Losing starting quarterback Anu Solomon in the first game of the season had to be tough for Arizona, but the Wildcats’ offense hasn’t skipped a beat with Brandon Dawkins under center. He has passed for 625 yards and three touchdowns and has rushed for 391 yards and seven scores.

Dawkins leads the team in rushing, but it’s his 8.9 yards per carry that’s the most impressive. Nick Wilson and J.J. Taylor are close behind with 518 yards and five touchdowns.
Shun Brown has been the top target on the team with 13 receptions for 213 yards and a touchdown. Three other wide outs have also broken the 100-yard mark. This one could be a shootout.
