Tennessee stuns Georgia on ridiculous Hail Mary (Video)

Tennessee stunned Georgia on a last-second Hail Mary to keep their playoff hopes alive in one of the most ridiculous plays of the season.

College Football never skimps on the theatrics, and that was never more true than on Saturday afternoon. Just seconds after Florida State was upset by North Carolina on a 54-yard field goal, Twitter was on fire with reactions to an even bigger play.

Before anyone had time to catch their breath from the Florida State upset, Tennessee reversed course on their seemingly doomed season in spectacular fashion. On the final play of the game, Jalen Hurd threw up a prayer that was answered by the football gods.

Just when it seemed that Georgia was going to get the best of Tennessee, this happened:

That’s probably one of the most ridiculous things we’ll see all season long, and it might be proof that it’s finally Tennessee’s time. You don’t swing for the fences like that and get that lucky to then have it mean nothing in the long run of the season.

It was such a quick series of events that it’s hard to fully fathom. Not only were we still taking in the upset loss Florida State received, but the sad Tennessee fan memes were already making their rounds on Twitter.

Then again, this is College Football and this prayer could end up being dismissed at the end of the day. Temporary success is futile, but Tennessee is still alive in the College Football Playoff hunt and right now there’s not harshing their insane buzz.
